Overview
All AustCycle Teachers are employed by licensed AustCycle Providers. Some Teachers might also be referred to as Trainers. The Teachers are trained to a high professional standard and are audited to ensure that high quality training is delivered.Benefits

Accreditation
All AustCycle Teachers must meet AustCycle’s accreditation standards. This will require satisfactory completion of an NCAS CycleSkill Coach Training Program and the NCAS Level 1 AustCycle Teacher Accreditation Program. In some cases, experienced cycling trainers may be accredited based on their prior experience. If you feel you are eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), please contact AustCycle on info@austcycle.com.au .To obtain accreditation to become an AustCycle Teacher, participants must meet these requirements:
- Successfully complete the NCAS CycleSkill Coach Accreditation Program
- Successfully complete the requirements of the NCAS Level 1 AustCycle Teacher Accreditation Program
- Complete the Teacher Application Form
- Nominate the Provider they will be working for
- Agree to the AustCycle Code of Behaviour
- Hold an acceptable first aid qualification
- Have a satisfactory police check if working with children
Once approved, AustCycle will provide a licence card confirming accreditation as an AustCycle Teacher and insurance under the AustCycle insurance cover. Teachers must meet continuing professional development requirements and pay a small fee each year. Accreditation renewal is required every three years.

AustCycle Teachers are supported by:- Nationally recognised accreditation from the Australian Sports Commission through CycleSkill and the Level 1 AustCycle Teacher Accreditation Program
- Training manuals, which including lesson plans and other helpful tips on training delivery
- Training seminars
- On-going professional development
- Performance auditing to ensure that AustCycle training is delivered to a high quality
