Sixteen people are now on their way to becoming accredited AustCycle Teachers after completing the Level 1 AustCycle Teacher Accreditation Program (ATAP) course in Melbourne over the weekend.

Most of the participants were there as part of the Federal Government's, and the Department of Health and Ageing's, Healthy Communities Iniative (HCI), which means that more Australians who are at risk of obesity or health problems will now have access to cycle training. These areas included Baw Baw Shire, Eurobodalla Shire, Shire of Melton, Glenelg and Grampian.

The course was held at the Darebin International Sports Centre on the 11 and 12 of August, and was run by AustCycle Presenters Ben Miller and Natasha Mitchell.

AustCycle’s Level 1 Teacher Accreditation Program course trains Teachers to provide a wide range of cycle training programs from beginner bike control through to advanced traffic skills.

If you’re interested in participating in one of our upcoming ATAP courses visit our website here, or email education@austcycle.com.au to register your interest. Places are limited, so register today!
