We just wanted to let you all know that AustCycle is now registered on the Healthy Living Network website! This means that any AustCycle Provider who intends to deliver AustCycle programs, even those not funded under the HCI, can now register too.
The Healthy Living Network (HLN) is a website that is funded as part of the Government’s Healthy Communities Initiative (HCI) and offers the community an online list of available healthy living programs. This list allows people in the community to find health programs in their local area, and allows medical professionals to refer patients to these programs.
Now that AustCycle is registered all of our Providers are able to register individually. And, we encourage all of you to do so to ensure that your cycle programs are visible to all potential participants.
To register, go to the www.healthylivingnetwork.com.au and complete your Licensee Registration.
After the Licensee Registration has been completed you may begin the Activity Registration for each program that you plan to deliver. Information such as location of the program, time, description of the activity and contact details will be made available on the website. You will need to register each program separately so that community members and medical professionals can then search it. As part of the activity registration you will also need to complete a Risk Assessment for each program.
If you are experiencing any troubles registering, first consult the email that we sent to each of you for step-by-step illustrated documents on how to complete each section. If you still have questions after that please don’t hesitate to contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the Healthy Living Network website at www.healthylivingnetwork.com.au.
